Job summary

IA Interior Architects in London is seeking a Job Captain/Technical Coordinator to lead project delivery from concept through construction for corporate interiors. You will manage client relationships, coordinate with design and technical teams, review CDs, and ensure adherence to budgets and deadlines.

The role requires a graduate in architecture/interior architecture, 6+ years in corporate interior design, and advanced Revit abilities, with eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an architecture, interior architecture, or interior design programme.
• 6+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projects.
• Experience working on projects in the UK and/or EU.
• Advanced Revit abilities.
• Must have a right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manages client relationship for small and medium sized projects from initiation through completion, including work performed by internal and external resources
• Review CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical, building systems, building regulations and accessibility requirements
• For smaller projects may oversee all CD production and review
• Coordinates with Senior technical staff and design staff to provide technical solutions for design dilemmas
• Manages project through construction phase
• Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations and final delivery of project. Ensure positive relationships resulting in additional business or referred work
• Coordinates engineer’s and consultant’s work to ensure compliance with design solution and timely submission of documents
• Carry out or assist in field surveys
• Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Technical Coordinator/Architect/PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget
• May mentor the work of Junior and Immediate Designers
• Oversee tasks and provide feedback on work product
• Conducts client interviews to determine technical requirements for the design
