Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Junior Sous Chef.

JNR Sous Chef - Birchwood Park Golf Club - Wilmington, Dartford

SALARY: £30,000 - £32,000 Per Annum

Who are we? We are Birchwood Golf and Country Club, part of the Burhill Group, which operates 22 golf courses across 10 clubs nationwide. Besides golf, Birchwood offers a large swimming pool, gym, spa, and various classes. Our restaurant and bar serve members and host events like weddings, birthdays, and festive gatherings.

What will you do? You will be responsible for daily food preparation and kitchen operations. Maintain high quality and speed of service for both restaurant and events. Collaborate with the Head Chef to maximize sales and profitability while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with management on supplies, budgeting, efficiency, and staffing. Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food prep, dish plating, COSHH, HACCP, allergens, and health & safety protocols.

Experience you MUST have?

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Junior Sous Chef
  • Good understanding of Food Safety (Level 2 or higher), Allergens, COSHH
  • Experience working in a busy, high-pressure environment

Experience that is desirable?

  • Experience in administrative duties such as rota and wage forecasting
