Job summary

Queensmith is seeking a Production Assistant to join our in-house jewellery production team in London. You will act as a vital link between sales and workshop staff, ensuring orders are accurately briefed and produced to our exacting standards, on time.

You will support production staff in planning, allocate jobs with precise instructions, help source diamonds, and maintain meticulous records. A great team player with a keen eye for detail will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Bench skills are preferable but not essential.
• Keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills are important.
• Clear and articulate communication and record-keeping are essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow Quality Control procedures on each order at every stage of production.
• Assist in organising the production timeline with Senior Production Staff.
• Allocate jobs to the workshop with accurate manufacturing instructions and manage workloads.
• Ensure all internal and external due dates are met.
• Organise and dispatch client orders for courier.
• Assist in sourcing & auditing melee diamonds.
• Maintain accurate location information in the database.
• Help track costs and keep them as low as possible while maintaining quality.

Job description

The Production Assistant is an integral member of the team, assisting in the production of every item designed and manufactured in-house. A vital conduit between sales and workshop staff, ensuring that each order is accurately assigned with sufficient brief and accurate manufacturing notes to ensure that orders are completed on time and meet our exacting high standards. Your contributions are integral to our journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Following our Quality Control procedures on each order at every stage of production
• Assisting Senior Production Staff in the organisation of the production timeline
• Allocation of jobs to the workshop with accurate manufacturing instructions, managing and prioritising their workloads
• Ensuring all internal and external due dates are met
• Organising and dispatching client orders for the courier
• Assisting in the sourcing & auditing of melee diamonds
• Ensuring all valuable items are secure at all times and have accurate location information in our database
• To aid in the tracking of all costings and aim to keep these as low as possible whilst still maintaining our quality standards
• General Diamond & Inventory tasks when required
• Assisting in the training of production staff when required
• To support the wider team and assist with daily office tasks when required
