Role:
Jetting Technician / Drainage Engineer
Location:
Field-Based – Swansea/Cardiff/Newport and surrounding areas
Salary:
£28,682 to £31,182 per annum (depending on experience) + overtime
Role Type:
Permanent, Full-Time - Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Are you an experienced drainage engineer seeking a better work-life balance with a supportive company? This is a new position within our Operations & Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining water networks using specialised jetting equipment to clear blockages, supporting over 1,000 Ministry of Defence sites. The role involves fieldwork, problem-solving, and ensuring high standards of service.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Executing reactive and proactive maintenance on wastewater networks
  • Inspecting systems with CCTV to locate blockages
  • Using high-pressure water jetting to clear drains and sewers
  • Performing repairs such as CIPP
  • Communicating with customers in a clear, non-technical manner
  • Documenting work using mobile IT devices
What You’ll Bring:
  • Experience with high-pressure jetting equipment
  • Drainage or plumbing maintenance experience (advantageous)
  • IT literacy, including mobile devices and Microsoft Office
  • Physical fitness suitable for confined spaces and adverse weather
  • Excellent communication skills
About You:
  • UK residency for at least 5 years and able to obtain security clearance
  • Valid driving license, comfortable with driving vans and towing trailers (training available)
  • Willingness to stay overnight occasionally
