Job summary

GE Aerospace Wales is offering a 12-month Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering placement in Wales. You will gain hands-on experience across teams, contributing to engine design, maintenance, and optimisation of jet engines.

Responsibilities vary by team but include engine work scoping, tooling development, repair industrialisation, cost optimisation, and customer support within a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering-related Bachelor's or integrated Master's in aerospace/mechanical/engineering.
• On track to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
• Penultimate year of study and returning to education after placement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engine work scoping and tooling development.
• Support repair industrialisation, cost optimisation and shop production methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply lean principles.
