Job description

Our Role

As the jersey designer, you will design across the jersey and lounge categories. You will support the Design Manager in delivering TWC Clothing strategy, collaborating with the BMDT teams to develop ways to build the brand image, strengthen TWC's market position, and increase profits through your designs. You will have an excellent eye for quality and luxury, with a sharp awareness of relevant fashion trends and an understanding of how to influence TWC customers in a timely manner.

Contribute and collaborate to the seasonal concept, bringing your department’s design direction and ensuring it coordinates and delivers the design team’s vision.

Ensure new product opportunities and trends are addressed. Work with buying teams to ensure they are commercially and appropriately developed for TWC customers.

What you'll be doing
  • Designing the jersey and lounge collection.
  • Gathering trends and inspiration for product ranges and creating design product spec packs for jersey.
  • Developing the range in collaboration with buying, technical teams, and suppliers to translate designs into commercially viable products, advising on construction, details, or artworks. Ensure the range evolves to meet TWC customer demands.
  • Working with Buying and Merchandising teams to communicate ideas.
  • Ensuring all designs are executed and meet critical path dates.
  • Producing a coordinated clothing collection with the Design Manager, ensuring designs can be used as part of key outfits and looks.
  • Sourcing from the supply base and building relationships with suppliers.
  • Traveling and researching directional and comparative trends and product directions.
  • Reacting to sales information and designing commercially relevant ranges.
  • Identifying and sourcing new yarns or components for sample development to drive new product and range development.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the market, supplier base, competition, and customer requirements.
What skills & experience you’ll need
  • Strong experience as a womenswear designer with a premium athleisure or international fashion brand, ideally at TWC market level (entry luxury).
  • Strong sketching and CAD skills.
  • A proven track record of creative and commercial success within a retail BMDT team.
  • BA degree in Fashion/Textiles Design.

  • Ability to work under pressure and with strong personalities.

This role is part-time, with days/hours depending on experience.
