Job description

?At the cutting edge of fashion, Pentex Ltd is a global design and manufacturing business with its headquarters in the heart of London. We have been established for over 30 years and are an expanding business with a worldwide client base.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Jersey Designer looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for designing innovative and commercially viable ladieswear jersey garments across multiple product categories. You will work closely with the design, sales, and production teams to develop ranges that are trend-led, price-aware, and tailored to client needs.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Research current trends and interpret them into commercially appealing jersey designs for the wholesale market.
  • Design across core jersey categories including tops, dresses, loungewear, T-shirts, casualwear, and co-ords.
  • Create clear and detailed CADs and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Develop seasonal colour palettes, fabric direction, and trim details suitable for various customer profiles.
  • Liaise with the fabric sourcing team to select suitable jersey bases and finishes.
  • Collaborate with in-house print designers to create bespoke graphics and prints.
  • Partner with the Sales team and work closely with other departments.
  • Oversee the sample development process, ensuring fit, construction, and finish meet brand and customer standards.
  • Respond to customer briefs and adapt designs according to client feedback.
  • Attend meetings with buyers.
  • Work closely with sales and account managers to support client meetings and range presentations.
  • Stay informed on high street competitors and emerging jerseywear trends.
