Job summary

Clarke Energy in Knowsley, UK, seeks an experienced Overhaul & Repair Team Leader to guide engineers through major engine overhauls and refurbishment projects on Jenbacher gas engines. You will lead, coach and deliver safely, on time and to specification.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication with customers and stakeholders, and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality engineering work across UK sites.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working on reciprocating gas engines and generating equipment.
• Proven experience leading or supervising engineering teams.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence (Category B).
• Experience delivering engine overhaul or repair projects safely and successfully.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the overhaul, repair, refurbishment and decoking of Jenbacher gas engines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers throughout overhaul activities.
• Make informed decisions regarding technical issues and approved variations to scope of work.
• Carry out technical evaluations and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure all overhaul and repair work is completed to the required quality standards, within scope and to agreed timescales.
• Support hands-on overhaul activities where required and contribute to successful project delivery.
