Job summary

Marshall Wolfe is seeking a Java Voice Services Developer to design, develop, and support SIP-based voice services while integrating cutting-edge speech and AI technologies. The role involves collaborating with architects, DevOps and cloud specialists to deliver scalable, high-performance communication platforms.

You will work across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a focus on SIP/telephony protocols and cloud-native deployment.

Qualifications

• Java development with SIP/telephony experience required.
• Experience with FreeSWITCH or Asterisk.
• Experience deploying in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Knowledge of SIP, RTP/RTCP, SDP.
• Experience integrating speech-to-text and NLP.
• Strong debugging with Wireshark or sngrep.
• UK-based, commutable to Ipswich.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SIP-based voice services using Java.
• Integrate speech and AI technologies into live voice applications.
• Deploy and operate applications on AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and cloud specialists to deliver scalable platforms.
• Troubleshoot voice quality, latency, and call routing issues.
• Provide ongoing support for live voice services.
