Application Modernization Practice is a horizontal practice, supporting all business verticals in DXC, with focus on the transformation of the legacy systems. Role: Supervise the delivery execution from both technical and people management perspective, of discovery, documentation, and modernization paths from legacy systems (Sabretalk, z/TPF, etc.) to modern stacks (COTS software integrations, Java, MSA, public clouds). This role is focused on communication, technical leadership, day-to-day management of development team, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead who can: Provide technical leadership to a segment of the development team, Aid Analytics and Architecture in identification of optimal solutions, Guide and supervise the implementation of technical solutions, Adopt and promote Agile and DevOps culture, drive Agile ceremonies, Coordinate the development team’s workload and schedules, Review and improve the existing implementations (primarily in Python), Quickly adapt to the Client's processes and environment.
• Workload Distribution: 50% – Technical Leadership: unblocking team members and solving implementation challenges, 40% - People Management: facilitate collaboration within the development team, 10% – Development: assisting team members in resolving critical issues

SKILLS

Must have

• Experience of working as a technical lead of at least 3 years.
• Experience of leading a team of at least 3 years.
• At least 5 years' work experience with enterprise backend systems.
• Experience of working in distributed teams and leading a distributed team.
• Knowledge of Agile processes and practices and ability to apply them.
• Understanding of enterprise applications’ architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of Python and at least 1 more programming language, preferably Java.
• Familiarity with GenAI applications in software development.
• Experience with any public cloud provider and knowledge of cloud architecture and distributed systems’ patterns.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration systems (Kubernetes/PKS/OpenShift).
• Good knowledge of SQL (any dialect) and at least one relational database.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of work with English-speaking customers (US customers are a plus).
