Job summary

Red Global is seeking a Java Support Engineer (L3) in London to manage production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support releases and changes. The role requires active SC clearance and strong Java, API, and microservice skills as well as AWS and CI/CD experience.

You will contribute to monitoring improvements, automation efforts, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining robust non-production environments and ensuring SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting Java applications in a production environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across applications and infrastructure.
• Proficient with Java, JavaScript, APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment support.
• Scripting in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Resolve P1-P3 production incidents within SLA.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Support releases, deployments, and change activities.
• Maintain and support non-production environments.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and service reliability.
• Produce technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive automation and Shift Left initiatives.
