Job summary

Michael Page Technology is hiring a Java Solution Architect in a hybrid London role. You will design and implement scalable Java-based solutions, work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into architectural designs, and mentor developers while ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

You will lead with hands-on coding for POCs while evaluating tools and technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, and ensure alignment with business goals and technical

Qualifications

• Must have Java, J2EE and Spring/Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture and BPM tools (Camunda).
• Hands-on Solution Architect experience with coding ability for POCs and supporting development.

Description

• Design and develop scalable and efficient Java-based solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to promote professional growth.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with organisational goals and technical strategies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance.

Profile

Must haves:

• Java, J2EE

• Agentic development experience
• Hands on Solution Architect experience
• Hands on coding still up to date - able to do POC, help the development team when needed
• Database experience
