Overview

Java Software Engineer with around 3-5 years professional experience sought by one of the original Quantitative Hedge Funds, with a 20+ year track-record.

Responsibilities

• Join a core Software Engineering team, responsible for the vast majority of applications in the business from front-to-back office, including Order Management & Trading Execution, Risk & Finance, Straight-Through-Processing and Corporate Functions.
• Take ownership of analysis, design, architecture, and implementation; work directly with business users across the firm.
• Work primarily with Java, and also with Python, SQL and MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Around 3-5 years of professional experience; exposure to modern software engineering techniques such as CI/CD; excellent Computer Science Fundamentals, OOP, Concurrency, and Java Generics.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong academic background in a numerate discipline (Computing / Computer Science), preferably from a leading University.

Benefits & Contract Details

This hire has a salary budget of £70-90K, plus excellent benefits and company pension contributions, along with a healthy annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in the Management Incentive Scheme. Applicants must be able to work onsite in Central London 3 or more days per week.
