Job summary

Genomics England is seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong Java automation to join a cross‑functional, Agile squad on a 12‑month FTC in London. You will design, build and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and RestAssured, driving quality early in the SDLC.

Collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers and SMEs, you’ll expand test coverage, support CI/CD pipelines, and help ensure secure, scalable solutions that advance the NHS genomics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java-based test automation.
• UI and API testing using Java frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium and RestAssured.
• Familiarity with Jira Xray for test management.
• Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks with Java, Selenium and RestAssured.
• Create and execute automated UI, API, integration, and regression tests.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria for testability.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, defects and evidence.
• Support CI/CD and test automation within deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and QA to improve quality.
