E-Frontiers in London is seeking a Java Full Stack Software Engineer with UK SC clearance for a 12-month hybrid contract. You will design, develop and lead full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and AWS, working within Agile teams to deliver impactful public-safety software.

Join a collaborative team, mentor peers, and help shape scalable applications while operating in a hybrid model with two days on-site and three days remote.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Software Engineer to join a software engineering team delivering technology solutions for a UK public safety and law enforcement programme. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that support public safety, working with modern technologies and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you'll combine hands-on development with technical leadership, helping shape software solutions, guide team decisions and deliver high-quality, scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance full-stack software solutions using Java and modern development frameworks.

• Build and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot, Angular/React AND AWS ensuring performance, scalability and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and deliver business requirements.

• Lead technical discussions, contribute to decisions across teams and help resolve complex engineering challenges.

• Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.

About You

• Advanced proficiency in Java Full Stack Development, with strong hands-on software engineering experience.

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, ideally building scalable, high-performing applications.

• Proven ability to take ownership of technical decisions and contribute to solution design.

• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multiple teams.

• Valid UK SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain it in line with the project's requirements.
