Job summary

Envitia is seeking a Java Engineer to join its Security & Intelligence Consulting team. You will work on large-scale data and software platforms used within government and national security environments, designing and developing secure, cloud-native applications that support real-world operational outcomes.

You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, DevOps and consultants to influence solution design, engineering decisions and delivery of modern software systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot in commercial projects.
• Strong OO design, software engineering fundamentals, and REST API development.
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Experience in DevSecOps and working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java applications with modern engineering practices.
• Build scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate software with data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Contribute to solution architecture, code reviews and technical decisions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to solve complex challenges.
