Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our engineering team in the UK. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications in a cloud-native environment using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You will build modular microservices with Java (JDK 11+), implement secure integrations with WebLogic Server and CAS SDK, and collaborate with DevOps on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (JDK 11+)
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot and microservices development
• Experience with WebLogic Server (Enterprise Edition) and CAS SDK
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, system integrations, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Spring Boot and microservices architecture to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications in a cloud-native environment.

• Design and develop modular, scalable microservices using Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain secure, high-performance integrations using enterprise middleware tools like WebLogic Server and CAS SDK
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy applications on AWS cloud platforms using containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Support the design and implementation of microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration between system components
• Work closely with QA/test automation teams to ensure functional and non-functional quality (performance, scalability, security)
• Follow and promote best practices such as:
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Clean coding standards and code reviews
• Version control and Git branching strategies

Required Skills & Experience
