Java Development Team Leader - London

This is an exclusive opportunity for a Software Development Team Leader focused on Java Full Stack to join a thriving business and help grow their software development team.

Role Details

• Title: Development Team Lead
• Technical Stack: Java Full Stack (Back End and Front End), React, Azure
• Location: London City (1 day a week in the office, leading your team)
• Team Focus: Leading a team of 7 developers (5 back-end Java developers, 2 front-end React developers)
• Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 plus bonus and benefits

This role offers a great chance to join a team investing heavily in their software development and IT systems. The business has recently invested £35 million in a new sales portal, with ongoing investments.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead Java software development, spending approximately 50% of your time hands-on coding
• Manage and guide a team of 7 full-stack Java developers
• Report directly to the CTO, gaining visibility and ownership from day one
• Work in the office in London City (Liverpool Street Station) once a week, with some flexibility around project deadlines

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent Java development skills, with hands-on experience
• Previous experience as a team leader or manager, with a desire to continue in this role
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with C-level executives
• Loyalty and stability in employment history; this is a permanent role, not for contractors or job hoppers
