Job summary

Experis UK is seeking a Java Developer to join our growing technology team in London or Leicester, with SC Clearance eligibility and a 12-month engagement. The role focuses on developing enterprise Java applications in an Agile environment, using J2EE, Spring, and modern CI/CD tooling.

You will contribute to design, development, testing, and operations, collaborating with Business Analysts, Architects, and DevOps, while ensuring robust unit testing with JUnit and reliable deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in Java software development.
• Experience supporting and administering J2EE environments.
• Strong Java programming and Spring Framework knowledge.
• Experience with SOAP/REST Web Services.
• Familiar with Git, Jenkins, and JUnit.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Build scalable solutions with Spring and related technologies.
• Develop and consume Web Services for business integration.
• Support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and automation tasks.
• Manage source control with Git and track work in JIRA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and environment issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to documentation.
