Job summary

Global Media Group Services in London (Camden Town) is seeking a Java Developer to join our Consumer Growth team building robust content platforms across web and mobile. You’ll work on Spring-based microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and cloud deployments, helping deliver features for our global podcast and video services.

You'll collaborate across squads, participate in CI/CD, and use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while upholding code quality and architectural standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Spring Framework 6+ and Spring Boot 3+.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• OOP and event-driven architecture.
• AI-assisted coding tools to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development (50%): Develop new features that are functional, performant, well tested and aligned with business needs, while modernising components and microservices.
• Collaboration & Delivery (30%): Work closely with other developers, leads and product owners to understand requirements and ensure smooth integration of microservices.
• Operations, AI & Continuous Improvement (20%): Contribute to CI/CD, run services in Kubernetes (EKS on AWS), and support monitoring. Use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality.
