Job summary

Information Tech Consultants is seeking a Software Developer (Java) for on-site roles in London, Bournemouth, or Scotland. You will design, code, test, and maintain scalable Java applications, collaborating with agile squads and delivering end-to-end software solutions.

You should have 2-5 years of Java experience, with strong knowledge of Spring, REST APIs, and OOP. Expect responsibilities across backend, some frontend tasks, and close teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Hands-on Java Core, multithreading, and Spring Framework (Boot, Security, Data JPA).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and building scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and cloud fundamentals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End development of high-volume Java applications.
• Backend development with Spring Boot and related ecosystem.
• Develop frontend components with React, Angular, or Vue.js where needed.
• Design and optimize relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL schemas.
• Create and consume secure RESTful APIs for internal and external services.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
