Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a skilled full stack engineer based in Bournemouth to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software solutions for complex business challenges.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and experience with AWS. You will also leverage AI-assisted developer tools to elevate engineering productivity while contributing to technical architecture and resilient microservice design.

Qualifications

Job description

Location: Bournemouth (5 days/week work from office)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong full stack engineering background with deep expertise in Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies (preference for AWS)
• Experience using AI‑assisted developer tools to improve engineering productivity (preference for agentic AI exposure)
• Solid data analysis skills and comfort working with data‑driven applications

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions for complex business and technical problems
• Apply sound engineering judgment and innovative thinking to deliver solutions beyond standard patterns when needed
