Our client is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic Post Trade technology team. As part of an established group responsible for critical post trade functions including payments, netting, and confirmations. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering robust, scalable, and high-throughput systems.
A major initiative is underway to consolidate and optimise netting and payment processes across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and wants to see their work have immediate business impact.
Design and develop enterprise-grade Java applications in a distributed, microservices-based architecture.
Drive resiliency and high-throughput standards within post trade systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, product, and business stakeholders.
Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts across code, infrastructure, and processes.
Core Java (multithreading, performance tuning, design patterns)
Microservices Architecture - building, scaling, and maintaining services
Messaging - Kafka is currently used; MQ experience is also valued
Database - Oracle or similar RDBMS
Systems Design - experience contributing to or leading architecture discussions
Post Trade Systems - netting, settlements, confirmations, payments
Foreign Exchange (FX) products or trading platforms would be highly beneficial
