Qualifications

We have a current opportunity for a Java Developer (m/f/d) on a contract basis. The position will be remote.

Location: fully remote (Can only consider EU based candidates)

Project description: The project has the objective to upgrade the WallstreetSuite (WSS) system to version 8. The system is used in the trading and treasury environment of our client and is heavily integrated to various other IT systems.

Tasks:
- Migration of all CSD interfaces from Oracle Java to Amazon Corretto Java with the following detailed requirements due to technical reasons: existing interface needs to continue to work in the new version and its changed interfaces and destinations.
- Own investigation into the functionality of the interfaces based on documentation that the client
provides in advance and by reading and discovering existing codes.
- Create developer documentation so that the client is able to maintain the new interfaces after the project has been closed.
- Unit & Integration testing:
o Create adequate test cases based on identified requirements.
o Execute created test cases and documentation results
o Handle defects and fix identified issues
- Weekly presentation of project progress and results to the client
- Presentation of finished developer documentation to internal sign off
- Correct identified problems (if found) based on the information coming from the team after internal team runs developer tests

Skills:
• Java Development knowledge with Java v6 and v12 (v11 would be good)
• Relevant experience with Oracle Java and Amazon Java JDK Corretto
• Experience and knowledge around designing and working with interfaces
• Capable of understanding logic of existing Java code
