Job summary

Kate Matthews Solutions is actively seeking mid to senior level Java Developers to join a fast-growing FinTech in the UK. This role centers on rebuilding the tech stack using Kafka and Kafka Streams to create a scalable backbone for rapid growth.

You will solve real-world problems in small, agile, cross-functional teams, focusing on large-scale distributed systems and robust messaging architectures. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Background in large-scale distributed software systems with proven scalability.
• Experience with distributed or messaging systems, or CRM systems.
• Experience with TDD (test-driven development).

This role will find you solving real-world problems alongside your cross-functional colleagues in small, agile and adaptable teams.

• A background working on large scale distributed software systems that have proven scalability and complex topologies.
• Experience with either distributed or messaging systems, or experience working with CRM systems.
• Experience of TDD (test driven development).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are a must.
• A desire to constantly learn, an inquisitive nature and an active member of the wider Java community

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Kafka and/or a streams-based platform (Samza, Storm)
• Experience of BDD (behaviour driven development).
