Responsibilities

• Проектирование, разработка, тестирование и поддержка бэкэнд-сервисов на Java и Kotlin с использованием Spring Boot в AWS
• Разработка и поддержка REST API, обслуживающих миллионы пользователей
• Разработка и оптимизация сервисов платежной инфраструктуры
• Проектирование схем БД и оптимизация SQL-запросов к PostgreSQL
• Построение событийно-ориентированной архитектуры на Apache Kafka
• Развитие платежной оркестрации и маршрутизации между провайдерами услуг платежей
• Написание модульных и интеграционных тестов
• Проведение code-review и обеспечение качества кода и безопасности
• Участие в дежурствах по инцидентам Tier 2 и взаимодействие с кросс-функциональными командами

Job description

Описание: Wise is a global technology company building services for moving and managing money internationally. Its products support international transfers, spending abroad, and international payments for individuals and businesses.

Задачи

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services written in Java and Kotlin using Spring Boot on AWS;
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs serving millions of customers across web and mobile platforms;
• Develop and optimise services powering the card pay-in payment method;
• Design and implement database schemas and optimise SQL queries against PostgreSQL databases handling high-volume transactional data;
• Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing of financial events across distributed services;
• Develop and maintain a payment orchestration system routing payments across Payment Service Providers to optimise cost and reliability;
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for financial systems;
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to engineering standards;
• Participate in on-call rotations to monitor and respond to production incidents for Tier 2 critical services;
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers across teams on cross-functional projects;
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and technical debt in existing systems;
• Ensure development follows security best practices for sensitive financial data and financial regulations;
• Raise the automation level to enable product scaling;
• Find solutions to technical challenges and opportunities while scaling a global banking product.

• Nice to have: experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation, and schema design, knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, experience with a messaging system such as Kafka.
