FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Java Developer to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client is seeking a Java Developer with at least 4 years of hands-on coding experience. You will be part of a global team responsible for requirement gathering, designing, and implementing solutions and enhancements. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement gathering, designing, and implementing solutions and enhancements
  • Actively developing, improving, and maintaining software and deployments
  • Solving business problems via technology in a fast-changing environment
  • Delivering results in a time-critical market without compromising on quality or performance
  • Working across the entire software development lifecycle – requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, supporting in production, and handover to operational teams
  • Demonstrating best practices throughout the software development lifecycle: testing, code review, accurate status reporting, focus on application resilience and operability
  • Working directly with key stakeholders to implement technical deliverables and develop next-generation statements and risk management platforms, within an innovative, forward-thinking team at the forefront of technological advancements
