Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT industry experience with strong software development and enterprise delivery.
• Hands-on Java development with Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns and data structures.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backends.
• Proven ability to build highly available, distributed enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL with data modeling and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk and TRACE.
• Strong concurrency, multithreading and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and production issue resolution abilities.
• Banking/financial services domain experience is a plus.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high performance API services, backend components, and integrations that power application platform. You will work closely with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and operational partners to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable payment capabilities that align with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and new features.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices and coding standards. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in Java and backend development. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must have existing authorisation to work in the country. 8+ years of overall IT industry experience, with strong expertise in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with proficiency in Spring Framework and Spring Boot, Hibernate etc.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and data structures.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
• Proven experience building highly available, distributed backend systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL, including data modelling and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience using monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk and TRACE.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and performance tuning techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance in production environments.
• Prior experience in the banking and financial services domain is preferred.
