Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable Java microservices integrated with GenAI models and enterprise APIs.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to ensure efficient CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment.
- Implement and maintain REST APIs, message-driven components (Kafka, JMS), and reusable Java libraries.
- Work with containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift) to deploy and manage Java workloads.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security align with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, ML Engineering, and Cybersecurity to deliver robust, compliant solutions.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, documentation, and code quality improvements following SDLC best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in REST API design, JSON/XML, and message-driven systems (Kafka, JMS).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift and container orchestration for Java deployments.
- Experience integrating with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Solid understanding of secure coding practices and cybersecurity principles.
- Proven experience working within Agile development teams and following modern SDLC methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across distributed global teams.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with MLOps platforms such as MLflow or similar.
- Exposure to DevOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK for Java application monitoring.
- Experience managing application secrets using HashiCorp Vault or equivalent.
