The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Junior Java Developer to join a collaborative engineering team. You'll work on impactful software projects across industries like healthcare, e-commerce, and manufacturing, using technologies such as Java, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Whether you're fresh out of university or have some commercial experience, you'll receive technical mentorship, support, and the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded developer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain full stack web applications using Java and/or Node.js
  2. Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks
  3. Work closely with team members and clients to understand requirements and contribute to solution design
  4. Take part in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews
  5. Contribute to a culture of quality, continuous learning, and innovation

Essential Criteria:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or on track to complete one)
  2. 0-2 years of commercial development experience (placement year also considered)
  3. Hands-on knowledge of Java and/or Node.js, plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  4. Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
