Job summary

Amazon Ring team in Cambridge, United Kingdom, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build cloud services and applications interacting with Ring devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, test, and iterate on solutions in a fast-paced environment, delivering low-latency, high-uptime systems for security products.

You will join the Setup experiences team, shaping the user onboarding flow for millions of Ring users and collaborating across mobile, backend, and cloud

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• Experience designing/architecting scalable, reliable systems.
• Proficient in Java, C++, or C# with OO design.
• Experience contributing to architecture and design of new/current systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and document distributed systems and microservices.
• Implement robust and maintainable code with documentation.
• Deliver customer value iteratively while scaling systems.
• Communicate status and changes to stakeholders and plans.
• Implement test automation via unit and integration tests.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance development productivity and code quality while ensuring security.
