Java API Engineer – Sportsbook Platform

Job summary

Bally’s Intralot is assembling the Matchday Sports API team to power the Bally Bet experience. You’ll build and evolve APIs, collaborating with Sports UI, Platform and Data teams while delivering with continuous delivery on AWS using Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, GraphQL and Kafka.

You’ll contribute to scalable, high‑throughput services during a critical launch phase, ensuring reliability and performance for our sports operations.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn new technologies and industry developments.
• Good collaborator and proactive in planning and delivering features.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, relational databases and API design.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience with engineering best practices including TDD, pairing, automation, and continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS.
