Job Overview:

The Japanese Language Manager is responsible for developing a high-performing network of internal specialized linguists to support IQVIA Translations Services (ITS) growth strategy.

You will define and execute the internal linguist strategy to ensure ITS Translations and Localization projects are always fast resourced by the most talented and specialized linguists.

Additionally, you will collaborate with Vendor Managers, Production, and Delivery leaders to ensure projects are delivered according to ITS standards and client requirements.

Building and maintaining strong relationships within teams and with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and requesters is essential.

You will also ensure that all translated and localized content is sourced from specialists capable of delivering on time and within budget, and you will recommend synergies and enhancements to proactively support ITS market leadership.

Furthermore, you will define clear metrics and accurate growth and development plans to ensure high performance, transparent execution, and ongoing reporting of results to the Director of Vendor and Language Management, ITS Operations, and Leadership team.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Japanese & English
• Strong influencing, problem resolution, motivation, and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to deliver results meeting quality and time metrics
• Excellent leadership and customer service skills
• Exceptional presentation skills tailored to all organizational levels, including executive management
• Experience with XTRF and/or memoQ, and familiarity with other TMS platforms is highly valued
• Understanding and experience leveraging AI/ML and BOT-based solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Business, Scientific Field, or related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in the translation and localization industry, including at least 3 years in leadership roles
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a linguist
