Job description

Janitor - West Dunbartonshire - £13.26 per hour

CBW has a new opportunity for a back shift Janitor to join a facilities company based in West Dunbartonshire. Due to an on-call rotation, the successful candidate must have access to transport.

Hours (term time only):
  • Monday - Thursday 16:30 - 21:30
  • Friday 16:30 - 21:30
  • Saturday 08:30 - 12:30
Key Responsibilities:
  • Open and close facilities in accordance with required school occupancy times.
  • Carry out internal and external checks of the building and report faults such as damaged tiles or leaks to Help Desk.
  • Oversee club lets within the schools in the evening.
  • Ensure subcontractors remove all waste from the site and leave the work area clean and tidy.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out of the site, including control of keys.
  • Carry out site inductions for all contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure the operation of the school is compliant at all times.
  • Meet all objectives to the client’s expectations.
  • Assist Facilities Manager / Operations Supervisors with any other duties as required.
To be considered:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Friendly and approachable manner.
  • Previous maintenance experience (preferred).
  • Driving license / access to transport.
  • Live within 30 minutes of West Dunbartonshire due to on-call rota.
Package:
  • Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour.
  • Overtime available: 37-48 hours paid at 1.5x, after 48 hours paid at 2x.
  • On-call 1 in 3 at £100.21 plus £16.32 disturbance rate plus on-site hours if on call.
  • Holidays: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Excellent pension contributions.
  • Full sick pay.
