Dayshift Janitor - Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Location: Vale of Leven Academy (West Dunbartonshire Schools)
Pay: £13.93 per hour (normal hours) | On-call pay £100.21 per week + £16.32 per hour for call-outs
Are you reliable, hardworking, and looking for a steady role in a school environment? Our client is seeking a Dayshift Janitor to join their team at Vale of Leven Academy, with the potential to move into permanent employment after a 6-month temporary period.
Hours:
Term time: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
School holidays: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
1 hour lunch break daily
Key Responsibilities:
General janitorial duties including cleaning and maintenance
Basic handyman tasks
Alarm and sprinkler system training provided on the job
Use of basic office and computer skills for helpdesk system on iPad
On-call rota every 4 weeks with additional pay for availability and call-outs
Possible work rotation between 4 schools within the West Dunbartonshire School Project
Requirements:
Must live within 30 minutes of Vale of Leven Academy by car due to call response times
Full, clean UK driving licence with zero points
PVG membership (if you do not have PVG, we can support you through the process)
Basic computer literacy and office skills
