Job summary

ARC Regulatory Ltd. in Belfast seeks an organised IVD Technician to join the laboratory team, delivering routine IVD and CDx activities, maintaining materials and records, and ensuring a safe, audit-ready environment.

The role reports to the Laboratory Manager and requires a BSc in Biological Sciences (or related) with at least one year in a regulated lab, plus familiarity with ISO 15189 and IVDR standards.

Qualifications

• BSc in Biological Sciences or related; or current study in progress.
• Minimum one year in a clinical/diagnostic/IVD lab environment.
• Experience with basic lab equipment and good documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 15189, IVDR, CAP, CLIA or GCLP standards.
• Ability to work in a regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine IVD and Companion Diagnostic lab activities.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, controls and samples per SOPs.
• Conduct equipment checks and maintenance activities.
• Monitor stock levels and storage, labeling and expiry management.
• Maintain accurate, traceable documentation and logs.
• Support COSHH and health and safety documentation.
• Work with quality systems, SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Assist audits and inspections with proper records.
• Collaborate with scientists, quality and operations teams.
