Job summary

Intrepid Global group is seeking experienced IV Community Nurses to deliver high-quality clinical care to patients in their own homes and in community settings.

The role includes visiting patients to administer IV therapies, monitor responses, perform venepuncture and cannulation, and document care in line with protocols, with travel between visits across the community area.

This is a flexible, community-based role offering regular and long-term assignments for skilled nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective IV therapy to patients in their own homes.
• Administer IV medications, fluids and therapies in line with prescribed treatment plans.
• Undertake venepuncture and cannulation where required.
• Access and manage PICC lines, midlines and other vascular access devices where competent.
• Monitor patients before, during and after IV therapy.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation following each patient visit.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Provide patients and their families with appropriate information and support.
• Liaise with clinicians, pharmacies, hospitals and other healthcare professionals as required.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Travel between patient visits within the allocated community area
