Job Description:

As an ITU Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, contributing to their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Deliver compassionate and specialised care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit.
  • Monitoring: Utilise advanced monitoring equipment to assess patients’ conditions and respond promptly to changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all assessments and interventions are well-documented.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates, support, and education.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and ITU/ICU training/certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • PVG Certificate will be of advantage, although we can apply for one on your behalf
