About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer to support our existing portfolio and contribute to our business growth within the Engineering and Consulting team. This role involves supporting team members in the UK and abroad, delivering high-profile traffic engineering projects, and expanding our business.
The ITS Engineer (Traffic Signals) supports projects from concept through design, delivery, and maintenance. Responsibilities include traffic signals, ITS, and technology projects for clients including strategic transport bodies, regional entities, and local highway authorities.
You will report to a senior team member and be responsible for the successful delivery of traffic signals work, supporting activities such as scoping, development, delivery, construction, maintenance, and coordination. Other activities may be required based on project needs.
You should have previous experience in traffic signals engineering, contributing to successful project delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints. Experience in coordinating design processes and knowledge of traffic signal modelling software like LinSig or equivalents are essential. Experience with microprocessor traffic signal controllers, UTC/SCOOT, and MOVA systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Membership in a professional body (e.g., IHE, CIHT, IET) is required. Flexibility to travel and work across different locations is beneficial.
