Job description

Great British Nuclear (GBN) is a new government arm's length body supporting the delivery of Britain's energy security and net zero, making sure that we can power Britain from Britain sustainably. It has been set up to turn nuclear ambition into reality. This is an exciting and critical time to bring your experience and expertise to GBN.

We are looking to take on iTrent expert to act as a system administrator, on a fixed term contract as maternity leave cover.

The iTrent System Consultant plays a critical role in supporting GBN's effective utilisation of the iTrent HR and Payroll Information System (HRIS). You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of iTrent functionalities, HR processes, and technical expertise to ensure the system operates smoothly and efficiently. Your focus on problem-solving, strong communication, and a collaborative approach will be crucial for providing user support, configuring the system to meet evolving needs, and ensuring data accuracy and system security.

Day to day duties:

  • Provide ongoing technical support to iTrent users across the organisation, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and knowledge bases to ensure user proficiency and system adoption.
  • Configure and maintain iTrent system settings to meet the organisation's evolving HR processes and reporting needs.
  • Partner with HR and IT teams to ensure system integrations and data exchange function seamlessly. Build strong relationships with HR, IT, and other departments to foster collaboration and ensure smooth information exchange.
  • Implement and maintain data security protocols to safeguard sensitive HR information.
  • Stay up-to-date on iTrent system updates and best practices for data management and security.
  • Proactively identify and address potential system issues to minimise downtime and ensure efficient operation.
  • Conduct regular system audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure data within the iTrent system is accurate, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and privacy laws.
  • Manage personal workload effectively and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and user needs.
  • Assist with user onboarding and training for the iTrent system.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven Track record of experience working with iTrent
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the iTrent HRIS functionalities, including modules for core HR, payroll, talent management, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, data management principles, and best practices for maintaining accurate and secure HR information.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software applications, with a strong understanding of data security protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
