Job summary

Orion Electrotech Sales is seeking an International Trade Compliance Manager to own the site’s trade compliance function in Marlow. You will act as the focal point for trade controls, ensuring compliance with UK and US regulations, supporting audits, and guiding stakeholders across the organisation.

The role requires deep knowledge of ITAR, EAR and Dual‑Use rules, with proven experience in aerospace/defence compliance and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience within the Defence and/or Aerospace industry.
• Strong understanding of UK import and export compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR and Dual‑Use regulations.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance activities.
• Ability to interpret complex legislation and provide practical business guidance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as the business’s International Trade Compliance expert.
• Provide export classifications for products and services and maintain records within the ERP system.
• Conduct customer and supplier screening activities.
• Ensure compliance with UK Export Control regulations.
• Support compliance with US ITAR, EAR and Dual‑Use regulations.
• Develop and maintain export compliance procedures, controls and records.
• Support HMRC, MoD and Government compliance audits and visits.
• Advise engineering, procurement, projects, commercial and operational teams on trade compliance matters.
• Develop user‑friendly processes, templates and controls to support business compliance.
• Deliver training and guidance across the organisation.
• Liaise with Chambers of Commerce and Government bodies.
• Support internal compliance audits and group compliance requirements.

International Trade Compliance Manager

Location: Marlow. Salary: up to £75,000.

Are you an experienced International Trade Compliance professional looking to take ownership of a critical compliance function within a leading aerospace and defence business? We’re recruiting an International Trade Compliance Manager to become the site’s subject matter expert for all aspects of International Trade Compliance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with UK and US export regulations, supporting government audits, developing business‑wide compliance processes and providing expert guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.
