We’re pleased to be partnering with a large, fast-growing energy business with operations across multiple countries. It’s jointly owned by two major global players in the sector. The company operates in a high-complexity environment with strong external oversight, including international investors and regulators. The finance function is lean but highly skilled, and the team works closely with senior leadership.

Role Overview:

This is a niche role focused on the group’s Italian entity. You’ll be responsible for both local statutory reporting and group reporting duties. The right person will be fluent in Italian and able to navigate Italian accounting standards and regulatory requirements confidently, while also handling IFRS and SAP reporting for the wider group.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage statutory financial statements for the Italian entity (in Italian, under Italian GAAP).
Liaise with Italian board members, regulators, and auditors – all communication will be in Italian.
Support group consolidation and IFRS reporting across the wider group.
Run and analyse SAP reports, resolving mapping or system issues as needed.
Work alongside external advisors (e.g. Big 4 firm), but remain hands-on and accountable internally.
Contribute to wider finance activities beyond the Italian work when needed.

Requirements:

Fluent Italian speaker (written and spoken) – mandatory.
Qualified accountant, ideally with a local Italian chartered qualification.
Strong financial reporting background, including IFRS and group consolidation.
Familiarity with Italian GAAP and local regulatory filing requirements.
SAP experience, especially around reporting and data analysis.
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders including board members.
Industry background in energy, infrastructure or capital-intensive sectors is a bonus.
