About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in Italian to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
2. This freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever it suits you.
3. Your tasks will include reading Italian text to rank responses produced by an AI model, writing short stories in Italian on given topics, and assessing whether AI-generated Italian text is factually accurate.

Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Experience as a professional translator.
2. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
3. Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.

Payment:

1. Average pay rates for core project work by Italian writing experts are around USD $20 per hour.
2. Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For non-core work, such as onboarding or overtime, lower rates may apply. Some projects offer incentives. Please review the payment terms for each project.
