Job summary

Frasers Group in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, is seeking an IT Workshop Technician to take responsibility for hardware queries from head office, stores and warehouses across the UK. The role is based at our Shirebrook HQ with a full-time schedule and rotational shift patterns.

You will handle requests via ticket systems, perform hands-on hardware repairs, maintain the asset register, and support other IT teams with hardware for deployments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing IT hardware support to all business areas via ticket systems.
• Building, repairing, updating and maintaining IT hardware across the business.
• Maintaining the IT asset register and lifecycle from receipt to disposal.
• Assisting IT team with hardware preparation and delivery for implementations.
• Writing and updating technical documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Owning end-user tickets from initial report to resolution.

Job Description

The Role:

Working in our purpose built IT Workshop, you will take responsibility ofhardware queries and requeststhat come from our head office, stores and warehouses across the UK and beyond.

This role is based full time at our Shirebrook HQ, Mon - Fri working a rotational shift pattern of 8am-5pm & 9am-6pm, withweekend work on a 1 in 4 weeks basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• ProvidingIT hardware support to all aspects of the business via our ticket systems, loggingdetailed information about each issue
• Building, repairing, updatingand maintaining allIT hardware across the business to ensure optimum uptime and availability
• Maintaining the company asset register and ensuring the IT asset life cycle from receipt through to disposal
• Assisting the broader IT teams with preparation and delivery of hardware for implementation
• Writing and updatingtechnical documentation to ensure the team is kept up to date with knowledge
• Confidently owning end user tickets right through to resolution

Qualifications

Whatwe are looking for:

• Clear passion for a career in IT and looking to grow with the business

• Good knowledge of IT hardware
• Experience with Windows desktops and servers

While not necessary, the below would be desirable:

• Formal experience with IT hardware repair and testing
• Knowledge of Cisco networking hardware
• Experience in an IT support or configuration role
