Job description

Title: IT Telesales Specialist (Outbound)

Location: Principal location is the HQ in Bromley, Kent.

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Role:
As an Outbound Telesales Specialist, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities for our IT MSP company. You will create your own prospect lists and build a database of businesses to phone that fit into our ideal customer portfolio. This is purely a cold calling role that requires hard work, persistence, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the Sales Manager and the sales team to achieve your targets and grow our customer base. You will also have the opportunity to progress within the company and develop your sales skills and knowledge.

Summary

  1. Generate new business opportunities for our growing company through cold calling.
  2. Create and maintain a completely new database of prospects that fit our ideal customer profile.
  3. Work closely with the sales manager and the sales team to achieve targets.
  4. Progression available within the company and develop sales skills and knowledge.
  5. A key focus for new business leads will be aligned with one of our Cyber Security Vendors.
  6. Attending events and webinars.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Research and identify owners/decision makers of potential prospects that match our target client profiles.
  2. Make outbound cold calls to create a pipeline of prospects and introduce our company and services.
  3. Determine if the prospect has a valid need for the company’s products and services.
  4. Progress cold calls into qualified leads and book appointments for the sales team.
  5. Follow up with prospects and maintain a record of all contacts and outcomes.
  6. Update and manage the CRM system with accurate and relevant information on all prospects.
  7. Meet and exceed your monthly targets for calls, leads, and appointments.
  8. Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information.
  9. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the cold calling process and strategy.
  10. Continual improvement with training from Vendor/s.
  11. Be involved with, and undertake any other duties as requested or required.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to persuade and influence decision-makers.

  4. Ability to handle rejection and objections.
  5. Proficient in using MS Office and CRM software.
  6. Strong planning, administration, and organisational skills.

Desirable
  1. Knowledge of the IT MSP industry and market.
  2. Experience of working in an IT focussed company.
  3. Previous experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or lead generation.
  4. An understanding of the layers of security of an IT network.
  5. Experience working in a business-to-business environment.
  6. Relevant qualification or certification in sales.
  7. Experience in selling IT services or solutions.
  8. Existing network of contacts in the IT sector.
