Collingwood School & Media Arts College is looking for a skilled IT Technician to deliver excellent ICT support for staff and students. You’ll handle hardware maintenance, provide technical assistance, and work within a dedicated team committed to improving educational outcomes. Collingwood School & Media Arts College is a community special school that caters for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of special educational needs. The school offers a specialised learning environment to support the additional requirements of our pupils.
The Governors of the school are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician. The successful candidate will provide an efficient and effective service to our staff and students, ensuring they are well supported in their use of ICT. This will include 1st line technical support to the school's users, maintenance and support of hardware and software, basic network management administration, and troubleshooting of the school’s systems. Excellent customer service, problem solving and analytical skills are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking to acquire and develop their skills in the ICT support field.
What you will bring to the role:
Previous experience in IT Support
Experience of working within a school, academy or College would be very highly desired and advantageous.
Experience installing, maintaining and fixing IT equipment, such as Servers, Software, Networks, Hardware and telephony
Experience supporting Office 365/Google Workspace
