Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Server 2016-25, audit and fault finding.
  • Knowledge of Intune/MS Defender.
  • Build, configure, maintain and fault find on Windows 11 Pro O/S clients.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory.
  • O365 administrator experience including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to perform methodical fault finding and fast resolutions for IT reported issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st-2nd line support for all staff.
  • Ensure minimal downtime or degraded service.
  • Work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment.
  • Set up computers, printers, desk phones, mobiles for end-users.
  • Participate in IT projects as determined by the IT Manager.

Due to our continued rapid expansion, we are seeking an IT Technician to join our IT Department at our office based in Runcorn. You will be responsible for supporting the company with 1st and some 2nd Line IT support via a ticketing system, using face to face, telephone, and remote connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as a part of and collaborate within the IT dept to assist with 1st-2nd line support for all staff to ensure that they can perform their operational duties on bespoke software and computer systems
  • Provide effective and efficient Right first Time IT Day to day and ongoing support via telephone/email/remote support for head office and remote staff to ensure there is minimal downtime or degraded service.
  • Work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment and have a can-do attitude.
  • Understanding of computer networking to ensure timely resolutions of infrastructure issues is preferred but training will be provided
  • Ensure that Computers, Printers, Desk phones, mobiles etc are set up and provided to end-users in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Be able to build and manage Microsoft Windows 11 Professional operating systems, Android, and Apple devices.
  • Knowledge of on-premises servers, virtual servers, remote applications, and services.
  • Taking part in IT projects and tasks as determined by the IT Manager.
  • Creating and updating Documentation and Asset Register
  • Any other reasonable task or duty as requested by the Company, including providing support which could be out of the businesses core operating hours.

Essential Qualifications/Skillset

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Server 2016-25, audit and fault finding.
  • Knowledge of Intune/MS Defender
  • Build, configure, maintain and fault find on Windows 11 Pro O/S clients.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory.
  • O365 administrator experience including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • A basicunderstanding of VMware would be an advantage
  • Experience with physical infrastructure
  • Ability to perform methodical fault finding and fast resolutions for IT reported issues across all supported products and services.
