They are now looking for an experienced IT Technician to join their team based in Middlesborough. The successful candidate will be reporting to the System Development Manager and will be providing technical support, instruction & supervision to students & staff,

Position Overview

  • Providing assistance to other IT staff on specific projects
  • Ensure the IT infrastructure is maintained, secure and operational at all times
  • Providing guidance, technical support and supervision of IT Hardware and software
  • Preparation & setting-up all IT Equipment – Provide first line maintenance & user support / training
  • Monitoring health and safety, ordering stock control.
  • Maintain CCTV & Control systems / Telephony & mobile systems
  • Liaise with suppliers / provide training of staff in use of applications
  • Carrying out installations & virus detections
  • May have to occasionally travel to Hartlepool site

Position Requirements

  • Qualification in IT or a related Subject
  • Professional IT accreditation e.g MCSE, MCSA, MCITP (desirable)
  • Experience of working with relevant IT applications & networks
  • Microsoft Windows & Office Knowledge
  • Creative Cloud & Active Directory (desirable)
  • Wiling to deliver hours flexibly according to need
  • Good analytic skills
  • Organisation & ability to work with own initiative
  • Systematic in approach to supporting systems
