IT Technician – Leytonstone
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (term-time only)
Daily Rate: £110–£135 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Leytonstone, East London

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Leytonstone is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join the school’s IT support team from September 2025 on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who is keen to work in an educational environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s IT infrastructure, supporting staff and students with day-to-day technical issues and maintaining hardware and software systems across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues

  • Set up and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and interactive whiteboards

  • Support the maintenance of servers, Wi-Fi, and school systems (e.g., MIS, Google/Office 365)

  • Ensure adherence to data protection and safeguarding policies

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in an IT support role (school experience desirable)

  • Be confident working with a wide range of devices, systems, and software

  • Be proactive, organised, and capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
