Opportunity Overview

A leading company in the Property Industry is looking for an IT Support Level 2 Technician to assist the IT Manager in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of computer systems and networks. This role will play a key part in providing reliable IT services across the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to IT issues, troubleshooting and resolving network, hardware, and software issues promptly.
  • Install and update computer hardware/software, perform diagnostic tests, and conduct routine maintenance on computer components.
  • Assist with the setup of new IT equipment, ensuring functionality and readiness for use.
  • Set up accounts for new starters, provide necessary training, and offer guidance on system use.
  • Build, repair, and maintain laptops as needed.
  • Maintain and update IT inventory, including asset management via the company’s systems.
  • Order IT supplies from approved vendors as directed.
  • Prepare mobile phones for use, perform fault repairs, and manage number transfers.
  • Administer and provide support for SharePoint, offering guidance as required.
  • Maintain global address lists and manage email inboxes.
  • Update and maintain the company intranet as needed.
  • Ensure smooth desktop setup for employees across various departments.
  • Provide training and support for Office 365 and other software tools.
  • Offer ongoing printer support, including troubleshooting with Papercut systems.
  • Collaborate with IT services to maintain a high-performing IT infrastructure that supports business growth.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of landline contracts and services.
  • Ensure compliance with personal data protection laws and company data security measures.
  • Support the IT Manager in the development and upkeep of corporate networking across sites.
  • Maintain the server room, ensuring safety and efficient operation of all equipment, including cabling and patching.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in IT Support or an IT Technician position, be strong in problem-solving skills, and have the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly. They should possess excellent customer service skills, a helpful, solution-focused approach, and a solid understanding of in-house computer networks and their operations. Experience managing security systems, including identifying risks, viral removal, and post-breach recovery, is also preferred.
